Raise the Song: Penn State A Capella Festival Benefitting Prevent Child Abuse Pennsylvania

November 4th, 7:00 pm

In response to the devastating effects of the scandal that has rocked our beloved university, the a cappella community of this campus has decided to group together and utilize their talents to put on a festival in which all proceeds will go to the charity Prevent Child Abuse Pennsylvania. Tickets for entrance are $4 for students and $4.99 for community members.

Grace Notes
Rhythm of Faith
The Statesmen
Shades of Blue

These groups will each be performing a small set of songs throughout the night. During these performances, there will be baskets raffled off that have been created by each group participating in this event, t-shirts and pinwheels will be sold, and donations will be accepted.

T-shirts:
1 for $12, or 2 for $20
Adult sizes: small, medium, large, and extra large

Please stop by at any time throughout this festival to show your support for this cause! A schedule of performances will be posted closer to the Festival date.

Fall 2012 Auditions!!

Blue in the Face will be holding auditions for all voice parts, as well as vocal percussion, on August 29th and 30th from 7 - 11 pm in room 115 of Music Building 1!

For your audition please prepare a no more than 2 minute excerpt of a song, (It can be any genre!) and be prepared to run through some basic vocal exercises.  And if you're a beatboxer, just show us what you can do!

Callbacks will be held September 2nd from 7 - 9 pm.
